Our client is looking for a Delivery Architect for their Toronto location. This is a 6 months contract with the possibility of extension.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Responsibilities
- Provide Project Management team with Technical implementation expertise and work Hands on as required for the project.
- Validate solutions proposed and advise Project Management on anomalies and exceptions.
- Identify and advise Project Management on any technical issue and help in the project plan.
- Identify and advise Project Management on any technical elements (hw/sw/network/storage) that may be inadequate for the implementation of the solution.
- Identify technical risk areas at the start and during implementation phase
- Provide technical guidance to delivery resources throughout project implementation.
- Work with the client to continuously drive the technical deliverables to satisfy the approved solution
- Identify client demands beyond the scope of the approved solution and advise Project Management with mitigation strategies
- Assess impact of project on shared infrastructure
- Develop required architectural delivery documents
- Ensure approved direction on implementation methodology is followed
- Provide leadership in integration of various technology platforms
- Provide leadership and ensure consistency and accuracy in the implementation of the approved solutions
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
- Qualifications/Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Strong Hands On technical skills on Linux and Windows and expert knowledge across many other technologies; Examples being Cloud, VMWare, SAN, Database, Networks and Security
- Expert knowledge of products, services and solutions in chosen domain
- Strong industry-related knowledge and experience
- Ability to drive workshops with senior level customer IT and business groups.
- Ability to facilitate customers, vendors and DXC in solution implementation.
- Ability to validate technical deliverables against customer requirements.
- Ability to build credibility with customers
- Ability to lead and mentor technical resources
- Ability to guide Project Management with implementation specifics
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong understanding of IT project delivery
- Presales solution knowledge across different technologies is an asset
- Understanding of ITIL methodology
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience. May have Master's degree in related field. Often holds entry-level certification(s) in work field. May hold intermediate-level certification(s) in work field.
